Sponge rubber

Expanded rubber with open cells with a defined thickness.
Available in several types: ethylene-propylene (EPDM), silicone (Q) and natural rubber (N)

Properties

• Open cells
• Weather resistant (EPDM)
• Excellent flexibility
• Low permanent deformation
• Not suitable for self-adhesives
• Low tear strength

Applications
Silicone-based types are used particularly in applications requiring high temperature or UV resistance.
